Village Sarthi: Empowering Rural Communities for a Sustainable Future
The UDGI Foundation’s Village Sarthi program is a comprehensive rural development initiative designed to uplift communities by empowering women, youth, and self-help groups (SHGs). We focus on creating sustainable livelihoods and fostering entrepreneurship through skill development, training, and local economic activities.
Key Focus Areas:
Self-Help Group (SHG) Development Village Sarthi strengthens rural SHGs by offering capacity-building workshops, financial literacy training, and market linkages. These efforts empower SHG members to become self-reliant and contribute to the local economy.
Youth Skilling Programs We believe that the youth are the backbone of rural development. Through targeted skilling programs, we equip young men and women with job-ready skills such as digital literacy, data entry, and computer operations, preparing them for employment opportunities both locally and globally.
CSC VLE Moradabad Training Village Sarthi provides training to Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) under the CSC framework in Moradabad, enabling them to deliver essential government and digital services at the grassroots level. This training ensures that rural populations have access to services like digital payments, e-governance, and digital literacy initiatives.
Women’s Skilling in Tailoring and Handicrafts Our women empowerment initiatives focus on providing skill training in tailoring, handicrafts, and other cottage industries. Women are taught how to create marketable products, helping them become financially independent and contributing to their household incomes. The program also connects them with marketplaces and exhibitions to showcase and sell their handcrafted goods.
Village Sarthi is committed to fostering rural development by providing communities with the tools and training they need to succeed. Together, we are creating a future where every village has the opportunity to thrive.
