UDGI Foundation has made a remarkable impact in the fight against COVID-19, helping over 100,000 people across India register for vaccination. This feat was achieved through the joint efforts of CSC Academy, GiveIndia, and the American India Foundation (AIF) Mission Corona Vijay initiative. Together, they reached out to remote and underserved communities, ensuring everyone had access to vaccination services.
With the ongoing pandemic highlighting the inequalities in healthcare access, UDGI Foundation took proactive steps to ensure that people in marginalized areas could get registered and vaccinated. By leveraging CSC’s vast network of community service centers, they helped bridge the digital divide and assisted people who lacked access to smartphones or computers.
The collaboration with GiveIndia and AIF brought additional resources and support to this mission, further enhancing outreach and providing necessary information about the vaccine, its safety, and the benefits of getting vaccinated.
Sonu Singh, CEO of UDGI Foundation, shared his thoughts on this achievement: “Our focus has always been on ensuring no one is left behind. Through this initiative, we aimed to make COVID-19 vaccination accessible to all, irrespective of their socio-economic background. We are proud to have reached over 100,000 individuals, and we remain committed to serving the community in any way we can.”
The vaccination registration initiative by UDGI Foundation has not only helped people get vaccinated but also instilled a sense of trust and awareness regarding public health. It’s an inspiring example of how collaboration and community-focused action can make a significant difference in times of crisis.
