Swasthya Sakhi: Empowering Rural Women for Better Healthcare

At UDGI Foundation, we believe in the power of women to bring about positive change in their communities. Swasthya Sakhi is our health-focused initiative aimed at empowering rural women to become leaders in promoting better healthcare practices and improving access to essential medical services within their communities.

Through comprehensive training and awareness programs, Swasthya Sakhi equips women with the knowledge and skills needed to address key health challenges, including maternal and child health, hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention. These women, known as ‘Swasthya Sakhis,’ become trusted sources of information and support in their villages, helping to educate others about the importance of healthcare.

As part of this initiative, we also focus on promoting menstrual hygiene management by distributing sanitary pads and raising awareness about reproductive health. Our goal is to break the stigma around menstruation and ensure that women and girls have access to the hygiene products they need for a healthy life.

Key Features of the Swasthya Sakhi Program:

  • Training rural women to become health leaders in their communities.
  • Promoting awareness about critical healthcare topics such as maternal health, child nutrition, and hygiene.
  • Distributing sanitary pads to promote menstrual hygiene management.
  • Bridging the gap between rural communities and healthcare services.
  • Empowering women to take charge of their community’s health needs and contribute to long-term well-being.

Join us in supporting the Swasthya Sakhi program and help build healthier, empowered communities.
