UDGI Foundation – Achievements
At UDGI Foundation, we are committed to creating a positive and sustainable impact in the lives of underprivileged communities. Our mission of fostering “Education, Humanity, and Circularity for Climate Action” is reflected in the milestones we have achieved in various fields. 1. UDGI Pathshala: Nurturing Young Minds
Our community learning initiative, UDGI Pathshala, has expanded to three centers, educating over 200 children from rural and slum areas. The focus is on providing quality education that is accessible to all, regardless of background or financial capability.
- Expansion to 3 Centers: Serving rural and slum communities, reaching over 200 students.
- Effective Learning: Programs include basic literacy, numeracy, and skill development, helping children build a strong foundation for the future.
2. Digital Literacy and Skill Training Initiatives
We aim to bridge the digital divide through various literacy and skill training programs:
- PMGDISHA Program: Successfully helped 2,000 students become digitally literate through collaboration with CSC and Capgemini.
- Digital Productivity Program (P2E): Trained 5,000 students in partnership with UNICEF and CSC Academy, empowering them to thrive in the digital age.
- Rural Digital Literacy Through UDGI Academy: Reached out to 2,000 students, providing essential digital skills in underserved areas.
- Data Entry Training for PWD Students: Trained 30 students with disabilities, all of whom have now secured jobs as computer operators in local companies, with some even opening their own CSC centers.
3. Empowering Rural Women: Cyber Sangani Project
Under our Cyber Sangani initiative, we have trained rural women aged 16-40 to stay secure on the internet, enabling them to access digital opportunities safely. The project aims to empower women through knowledge, allowing them to participate actively in the digital world.
- Trained Over 1,500 Women: Offering workshops on online safety, privacy, and digital rights.
4. UDGI Academy Center: Transforming Education
We have established the UDGI Academy Center to provide quality education to rural and underserved communities. Our focus on digital and vocational training equips youth with skills they need for employment and entrepreneurial pursuits.
- Computer Skills Training in Kura Meerpur Village: Offering basic computer courses, including MS Office and internet usage, to bridge the digital gap in rural areas.
5. Climate Action and Environmental Efforts
We strive to create an environment where humanity coexists in harmony with nature:
- Tree Plantation Drives: Organized several tree-planting campaigns, promoting environmental sustainability and climate resilience.
- Plastic-Free Campaigns: Led initiatives to educate communities on the dangers of plastic pollution, encouraging waste reduction and promoting sustainable alternatives.
6. Humanitarian Assistance and Community Support
We believe in humanity as the basis of our work:
- Supporting Kanwar Yatra Pilgrims: Fundraised to help Savan Kanwar Yatra pilgrims, providing food, first-aid, and essential supplies.
- Notebook, Food Packet, and Blanket Distribution: Provided vital supplies to children and underprivileged families, ensuring their basic needs are met.
- Aap Ka Haq Aapke Dwar Initiative: Delivered essential government services at people’s doorsteps, particularly in rural and slum communities, making governance accessible for everyone.
7. Health and Well-being Initiatives
UDGI Foundation is deeply invested in the health and well-being of the community:
- TB Patient Adoption: Adopted and provided ongoing support to over 650 TB patients, aiding in their recovery and ensuring they have access to medical treatment.
- COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign: Facilitated vaccination for over 100,000 individuals, contributing to the safety and health of our communities.
- Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM): Promoted menstrual health and hygiene awareness, distributed over 1,000 sanitary pads, and conducted educational sessions for women and girls.
8. Partnerships and Collaboration
We believe that collaboration amplifies impact, and we’ve partnered with esteemed organizations to create a broader social impact:
- Goodera Partnership: Collaborating on projects in education, SHGs, women empowerment, solar energy, and environmental sustainability.
- MOUs with Various NGOs: Partnered with organizations like Digital Saathi Foundation, Khushi Charitable Trust, Manav Hitkari Charitable Trust, Renu Kiran Welfare Foundation, Udaan Housalon Ki Samiti, Moradabad CSC VLE Society, and Ek Kiran Welfare Foundation, focusing on community development and service delivery in education, health, environment, and empowerment sectors.
9. Skill Development for Employment Opportunities
We are committed to the economic empowerment of the youth and marginalized communities:
- Skill and Vocational Training: Conducted various training programs under CSR initiatives, focusing on youth empowerment, digital literacy, and vocational skills to make participants job-ready.
