Ai for Youth

πŸ€– AI for Youth Project

The AI for Youth Project by UDGI Foundation is designed to empower students (ages 12–29) in rural and semi-urban areas with foundational skills in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Coding, and Robotics.
The project provides access to hands-on workshops, science kits, AI tools, and mentorship to help young minds explore and innovate with technology.
It encourages problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity using AI for social good.
The aim is to ensure that rural youth are not left behind in the digital revolution and Industry 4.0.

Why AI for Youth

In today’s world, AI and automation are changing every industry, and young people must be prepared for future careers.
However, most rural youth lack exposure to modern technology, coding, or real-world applications of AI.
They are often limited to textbook learning and outdated tools, with no access to tech labs or mentors.
AI for Youth bridges this digital gap and ensures that village students also dream big, build smart, and lead with innovation.

πŸ”Ή Main Focus Areas

  1. AI & ML Fundamentals – Teach basics of artificial intelligence, data, and machine learning through simple tools.

  2. Hands-on STEM Kits – Provide science and robotics kits for experiments and creative building.

  3. Coding for Beginners – Introduce Python, Scratch, and logic building to develop tech interest early.

  4. Real-World AI Projects – Encourage students to solve local problems using AI ideas and innovation.

  5. Tech Internship & Career Guidance – Connect students to internships, online courses, and future tech pathways.

How AI for Youth Works

UDGI Foundation sets up after-school tech learning spaces (UDGI Pathshala Centers or schools) where students gather to learn with mentors.
Each batch receives interactive lessons using laptops, DIY AI tools, and physical science kits designed for ages 12–29.
Local educators are trained to deliver sessions in simple bilingual formats (Hindi + English) with project-based learning.
Special events like AI Hackathons, Tech Exhibitions, and Model Making Days are organized to boost innovation and confidence.
High-performing students are linked to free online certifications, mentor networks, and job-ready pathways.

πŸ”Έ Key Activity Areas

  1. Weekly AI Classes in Villages – Conduct classes in schools and Pathshala centers using visual & practical methods.

  2. AI + Robotics Kits Distribution – Provide learning kits for hands-on understanding of logic and automation.

  3. Tech Clubs & Mentorship Circles – Build peer learning groups and mentor linkages with tech professionals.

  4. AI Awareness Drives – Organize exhibitions, rallies, and sessions to introduce AI in a fun, engaging way.

  5. Certification & Internship Access – Guide youth towards future careers with exposure and industry connection
