🛡️ Cyber Sangani Project
The Cyber Sangani Project is a unique initiative by UDGI Foundation to empower rural women with digital safety knowledge, cybercrime awareness, and basic digital skills, while also creating livelihood opportunities.
The project trains selected women as “Cyber Sangani” – local champions who spread awareness in their communities about online safety, cyber hygiene, and government digital services.
They also support other women in accessing safe internet use, digital finance, and social media literacy.
Each Cyber Sangani becomes a village-level educator, digital guide, and safety messenger in her area.
Why Cyber Sangani
In the digital age, cybercrime, online fraud, and harassment are rising, especially among women and children in rural areas who lack awareness.
Women using smartphones often become targets due to lack of knowledge about privacy, scams, and secure usage.
At the same time, many girls and women hesitate to go online due to fear, shame, or digital illiteracy.
The Cyber Sangani Project builds confidence, protection, and empowerment by educating women at the grassroots level.
🔹 Main Focus Areas
Cyber Safety Education – Teach women about password safety, frauds, fake links, and online privacy.
Social Media & App Awareness – Guide safe use of WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and digital etiquette.
Digital Literacy & Device Use – Train women to use smartphones, access services, and report threats.
Community Workshops & Rallies – Organize village-level sessions, events, and campaigns on cyber awareness.
Women-Led Livelihood Model – Support Cyber Sangani leaders with honorarium and part-time digital jobs.

How Cyber Sangani Works
UDGI Foundation selects 100 rural women to be trained as Cyber Sanganis through a practical, field-based curriculum.
These women then each educate at least 50 other women in their own villages, spreading awareness and skill.
Cyber Sanganis conduct local sessions in schools, SHG groups, health centers, and panchayats using videos, posters, and storytelling.
Selected Sanganis are linked with data entry work, digital help desks, or community-based digital jobs, creating income and impact.
🔸 Key Activity Areas
Selection & Training of Cyber Sanganis – Choose motivated rural women and train them in digital safety, tools, and teaching skills.
Village Awareness Sessions – Organize sessions for girls, mothers, youth, and elders on online safety.
School & College Collaboration – Conduct cyber sessions with adolescent students and teachers.
Digital Help Support – Offer local help for form filling, grievance redressal, and safe internet access.
Monitoring & Impact Assessment – Track how many women trained, sessions held, and digital changes made.
Linkages to Livelihood – Provide part-time work like data entry, online form filling, and assistant roles for trained Sanganis.
